You could post messages on each others’ walls, you could share pictures, videos, and interesting link you found on the net. You could even chat with your friends and others in your list while on Facebook. And now, facebook has integrated Skype into their arena. Similar to chat, you can now talk to your friends and see them while doing so. It is now time to enjoy the same experience you get on Skype, except through Facebook. You dont need any specific username or password, all you need is your facebook login details and a good internet connection, along with a webcam. Simple and easy to use, this takes Facebook to the next level.
Login to your Facebook account.. Click on Facebook chat at the bottom right on your profile page or bottom left on the Home page, and you can see all your friends who are online at the moment. Find more info https://www.facebook.com/videocalling
When you click on a name to initiate a chat session, you will see a video camera symbol on that window along with a small * button which opens out to ‘See full conversation”, “clear window” and “report as spam”, and the close chat window button.
Choose the video camera symbol, and watch a bigger screen pop out that clears out to show your friend on the other end. You can therein enjoy a conversation that is not only clear but also easy to access.
The other cool aspect of this Facebook- skype integration is that you can chat with multiple people, one after the other. It does not matter what email service they use, you can connect with them via Facebook video chat feature!
With Google offering voice and video chat feature, I guess Fcebook decided they don’t want to be left behind and needed something to give them an edge over their competition.
Looks like they are on the road to bringing in innovation, and linking the world far easier than ever. Now, not only do you get to see and talk to family living away from you, but also talk to friends you’ve never met or hold business conferences, reaching out to those beyond boundaries.
So, next time you are logged into Facebook and have the urge to speak to a loved one, or find a business contact online, simply initiate a video call and complete the process. Not only does it save time, but also the need to install external software on the machine that might slow it down. It is a multi feature in one website kind of concept that Facebook has brought in.
Question to Readers: So big question came to my mind is that will this feature would be beneficial to users or it has some side effects too? Share with us…
